A national marketing company does intensive health related student surveying in the Fall months. They receive over 250,000 responses between August and October of each year. After contracting with a local scanning service company, CPI was retained to capture the data from designated fields on the surveys and return the output promptly.
The characters are all handwritten, but found inside constrained boxes on the surveys. Since they are standardized forms, CPI uses OCR (with verification) for some of the data and double entry validation for many others. Data accuracy exceeds 99.5% for legible characters.
To assure that the client can reach the respondents accurately, CPI utilizes a national USPS address verification service as well as putting program edits in place to help verify email domains.
Forms are sent daily via SFTP. CPI gradually adds staff to accommodate the increasing volume and returns data output within 48 business hours of receipt.
Though this project presents significant seasonal demands, CPI has the capacity and global diversity to complete it on time every season.
